One of the most important archaeological sites in Greece: the first ancient capital of the Kingdom of Macedonia, the city of Aigai, birthplace of Alexander the Great, discovered in the 19th century near Vergina (village), it is actually an Unesco World Heritage Monument. We visit the tomb of Philip II (Alexander’s father) first unveiled in 1977.
